Privacy Policy

Desqo is an AI assistant that businesses add to their own websites. It is a product of Thea IT Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices people have. There are two groups of people: businesses that subscribe to Desqo, and visitors who chat with a business's assistant on its website.
For visitors who chat with an assistant
The business whose website you are visiting decides to use Desqo and is responsible for how it uses what you share. We process your information on the business's behalf to run the chat.
- What we collect: the messages you send and the assistant's replies; any name, email address or phone number you choose to share; a random identifier stored in your browser so your conversation can continue; and your IP address, used to prevent abuse.
- Why: to answer your questions, to let the business follow up if you share contact details, and to keep the service secure.
- Consent: before you chat, the widget tells you that you are talking to an AI assistant and that messages are saved, and asks you to agree.
- Please don't share sensitive information such as payment card numbers, passwords or health records in the chat.
- Deleting your data: choose "Delete my chat data" in the chat window to erase your conversations with that business from this browser, including any contact details captured in them. You can also email us or the business and ask.
- Who sees it: the business and the people it gives access to, and the service providers listed below. We do not sell personal information.
For businesses that subscribe
- Account information: your name, email address, business name and website address, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Billing: payments are handled by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers; we keep billing records such as plan, amounts, dates and invoices as the law requires.
- Your website content: we read the public pages of your website, and the details and answers you add yourself, so the assistant can answer from them.
- Conversations and leads from your visitors, which you can read, export and delete from your dashboard.
- Emails: we send account, billing and service emails, and an optional weekly summary you can switch off in Settings.
How long we keep information
- Chat history is kept while your account is active. Owners can choose to delete conversations automatically after 30 days, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Captured leads are kept until the business deletes them.
- After a subscription ends, your data is kept for a limited period, you are warned by email before it is deleted, and you can download everything first. After that it is permanently deleted. We keep only the billing records the law requires.
- You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time from your dashboard.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run Desqo: cloud hosting and a database; AI model providers that process text to understand questions and write replies (for example OpenAI); Razorpay for payments; Amazon Web Services (SES) for email; and Sentry for error monitoring, which is set up so that visitor messages are not sent to it. They may only use information to provide their service to us.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Visitors can delete their chat data in the widget. For anything else, write to support@desqo.net and we will respond within a reasonable time. Where a business controls the data, we will help route your request to them.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, access is limited to what each person needs, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, so we also ask businesses and visitors to take care with what they share.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell subscribers by email. Questions: support@desqo.net.
